Plan your trading year

It is the time of year to think about all the things you did and did not do this year. The things you wished you did and the things you wished you did not do.

Trading is an ever learning experience and critically analysing your performance and behaviour is the first step towards improvement.

As professional traders step away from the market, liquidity can be thin. This is the perfect opportunity to take rest and focus on your plan for next year.

In our community, we encourage each other to critically evaluate the year. Be honest about what went well and what went wrong. If you have a trading journal, go through your notes and identify themes and gaps.

We always recommend the following 5 step plan for the end of the year.

  1. Refine your vision

  2. Analyse your performance

  3. Set your goals

  4. Review your process

  5. Become accountable

If you need help with this process, consider finding a coach or use our workbooks to help you get started. They can provide the structure you need to help you along the path to become a consistently profitable trader.
